BlackBerry has launched today BlackBerry Leap smartphone,which supports 4G LTE networks in India. BlackBerry Leap runs on the latest BlackBerry 10.3.1 operating system. BlackBerry Leap is all-touch smartphone and is priced at Rs. 21,490. It will start selling in India from 12th May.
BlackBerry Leap features a edge-to-edge five-inch HD display (720 pixels) with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by a 1.5 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset with Adreno 225 GPU, coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card.
BlackBerry Leap is equipped with an 8MP rear camera and a 2MP front camera. It is packed with a 2800mAh battery, which is claimed to offer up to 25 hours of ‘mixed usage’.
From security point of view, BlackBerry Leap is equipped with support for encryption, plus built-in malware protection and back-up, wipe and restore. These features give you control and help secure your data against the next embarrassing and potentially costly cyberattack.
Like other latest BlackBerry smartphones, BlackBerry Leap also allows downloading of apps from BlackBerry World and Amazon Appstore. One can download business and productivity apps including Box, Evernote, Cisco WebEx Meetings and Documents to Go etc. from BlackBerry World and popular Android apps and games through the Amazon Appstore including Candy Crush Saga, Pinterest, SoundCloud, Kindle and Amazon Shopping etc.
