YU brand started by Micromax, has launched today their second smartphone YUPHORIA powered by Cyanogen OS 12. The first smartphone Yureka was launched in January this year and the company claims to have sold over half million of this product roughly in four months. The Yuphoria is designed and assembled in India and on the back of the smartphone, the company has proudly mentioned this achievement.
The YUPHORIA will be available in two colors, Champagne Gold with white panel & Buffed Steel with black panel, exclusively through amazon.in at INR 6,999/-. Registrations for this device will begin from 12th May 2015 from 5 PM onwards and the sale will commence from 28th May.
The Yuphoria is a sleek and light device. It has thickness of 8.25mm and its weight is just 143 grams with battery. This device is crafted meticulously in metal, which gives it a premium look. It comes with a unique metal ring surrounding the edges available in two colors – Gold and Silver, respectively. It was explained during the launch event that the Yuphoria phone is designed after it passes through a number of processes which includes pre-bending, stamping, welding, laser etching, sandblasting, and polishing. It is given sleek matte finish afte extreme cycles of sandblasting which the company claims has been derived from the automobile industry.
The Yuphoria features a 5-inch HD IPS display (1280×720 pixels resolution) with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is driven by a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor with a 64-bit architecture, and Adreno 306 GPU for faster graphics performance. It is packed with a 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM. This smartphone is equipped with an 8MP rear camera with LED flash, f/2.2 aperture and capable of full HD recording in 1080p. It also houses a 5MP front camera for the selfies enthusiasts.
The Yuphoria is also capable of working on Indian 4G LTE networks. It is packed with a 2230mAh battery with quick charger feature. It can be charged from 0 to 65% in just 45 minutes. The battery of Yuphoria is rated to provide 7 hours of talk time and 160 hours of standby time.
The Yuphoria is also packed with Wolfson Sound by Cirrus Logic with Ambient Noise Cancellation Technology to reproduce crystal clear audio. It runs on Cyanogen OS 12 based on Android Lollipop 5.0, with features such as Material Design, App Themer, Boxer powered Cyanogen Email and Truecaller dialer integration.
The Yuphoria is Dual-Sim device and offers other connectivity fetures of Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi etc. This smartphone comes with G, L, P and 6-axis sensors, Gyroscope and E-compass.
