Research In Motion (RIM) has released Secure Work Space for BES10 android app into the Google Play Store. It’s a tightly knit combination of previously available BES10 and Work Space Manager for BES10 android applications. Secure Work Space for BES10 lets the enterprise network administrators to control corporate data on their users devices and safeguard it.
The app provides an alternative environment (in the form of a home launcher) wherein the users are given a predetermined set of enterprise applications such as Email, Contacts, Calendar and Web Browser. All these apps are integrated within the main app itself and data related to them can be controlled by BlackBerry Enterprise Service (BES) administrator.
For a regular user this android app won’t serve any purpose. It is custom made for BES deployed organizations. Thus it won’t do you any good until your company has setup your device in order to make use of this service.
On a side note, you CANNOT use Secure Work Space For BES10 on a rooted device (defeats the whole purpose of being secure in first place!).
