Chinese handsets maker, Oppo, is conducting an exciting online contest ahead of its India launch of the much awaited OPPO R5, the stronger ultra-thin 4.85 mm smartphone. 3 OPPO R5 and 9 VOOC Powerbanks are up for grabs during this contest.
The contest, “ScavengeR5” invites one and all to visit the OPPO Mobile India website and spot the hidden OPPO R5 throughout the website. Upon finding the R5, one just needs to enter their name and email id to enroll in the lucky draw and earn a chance to win either the super sleek OPPO R5 or the very reliable and handy VOOC powerbank.
According to Oppo India, they will be running the contest on its India website until January 1, 2015 and its open to general public. 1 OPPO R5 and 3 VOOC powerbanks can be won every week.
OPPO R5, the latest addition to the R series, will be making its India debut this month. It’s slated as one of the thinnest smartphones in the world and the thinnest ever from OPPO.
The R5 is touted to be the world’s thinnest smartphone with thickness of just 4.85 mm. This phone has dimensions of 148.9× 74.5 × 4.85 mm and its weight is 155 grams. This smartphone is made of first-grade steel and designed with hand-polished micro-arc frame, to make it smooth and strong. It will fit into your hand like a glove.
The Oppo R5 comes with a 5.2 inch AMOLED display with resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, and is powered by the octa core Snapdragon 615 processor with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage. Oppo R5 is also claimed to be “the world’s first smartphone that uses phase-change material, keeping it at a constant cool temperature whilst maintaining superior functionality. The R5’s patented heat dissipation technology “Cool Element” protects its octa-core CPU, in turn prolonging the life of the phone”.
The Oppo R5 is equipped with a 13 MP rear auto focus camera and a front facing 5 MP camera. It comes with the PI 2.0 Plus Flash Shot technology. The R5 is stated to be capable to let you take the shot with an imperceptible focus time – it has a maximum focus time of 0.18 seconds and claims to deliver 50MP high-definition picture clarity.
The R5 is packed with 2000 mAh battery and also comes with the VOOC mini rapid charging system. It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat OS with Oppo’s Color OS 2.0 superimposed on it.
