It is a season of Ultrabooks and Notebooks and all the major players are in a hurry to announce new devices and are trying to prevent their loyal customers from shifting to tablets, by making their laptops more sleek, stylish and easy to carry.
To compete with other vendors, Dell today announced launch of a new range of Inspiron laptops, which include Inspiron R series and Inspiron Ultrabook 14Z.
Inspiron 14R and 15R
The Inspiron 14R and 15R laptops cater to the daily computing needs of users featuring HD display, enhanced audio quality, an array of multimedia and connectivity options. The Dell Inspiron 14R and 15R are powered by a 3rd Gen Intel Core i5-3210M processor. Running Windows 7 Home Basic, these laptops feature 4 GB DDR3 SDRAM at 1600MHz. The only difference is that the Dell Inspiron 14R has a 14″ inch screen, while the Inspiron 15R encases a 15.6″ inch screen. Both 14R and 15R are priced at Rs 39,900.
The 15R is available in Moon Silver, Fire Red and Peacock Blue colour lid options. Memory options vary from 2 GB up-to 8 GB. Hard drive options range from 320 GB to 1 TB. The device comes with 3 USB 3.0 ports, an Ethernet port, HDMI out, VGA port, an 8-in-one media card reader and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity.
Inspiron 15R & 17R Special Edition
Inspiron 15R special edition and 17R special edition cost Rs 49,900 and 63,682, respectively. The 15R special edition features a 15.6″ inch screen. It comes engineered with a 3rd generation Intel core i5 dual core processor or a 3rd generation Intel core i7 processor.
Inspiron 15R special edition has a stealth black aluminium chassis and weighs starting at 2.78 kgs. Inspiron 17R special edition has an aluminium display back with a textured honeycomb design palm rest. It comes in Red Silver and Peacock Blue colors.
Ultrabook Inspiron 14Z
With 21mm at its thickest, the Inspiron 14z is Dell’s first ultrabook in the Inspiron series with an ultra-portable design. The device weighs starting at 1.87 kgs and promises up to 7 hours of battery life. It is available in Moon Silver and Fire Red color options. RAM option range from 2 GB up-to 8GB while hard disk options include 500 GB with 32 GB mSATA and SSD options upto 128 GB. The Inspiron 14z has a standard WLED display supporting high definition with 1366×768 pixel resolution.
