At an event in New Delhi, Dell launched today world’s thinness Android tablet – The Dell Venue 8 7000, which has a thickness of just 6mm thin. The other unique feature of this tablet is that it is equipped with an 8MP Intel RealSense Snapshot Depth Camera (rear) and 2MP (front) camera for depth sensing. For instance, if you point the RealSense camera towards objects like your furniture and click a picture, you can find out the dimensions (length, width, height) of the object, and this is possible with the help of a software that Dell and Intel have designed.
The Dell Venue 8 7000 tablet will be available at a starting price of Rs. 34,999 from the beginning of July.
The Dell Venue 8 7000 tablet feature edge to edge infinity display screen with 8.4″ WQXGA (2560×1600) OLED, and runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS. It is powered by Intel Atom processor Z3580 (up to 2.3GHz Quad Core) coupled with RAM of 2GB LPDDR3 along with internal storage of 16GB or 32 GB eMMC and MicroSD card slot supporting up to 512GB.
