Samsung has officially announced availability of its Galaxy S6 Active smartphone in US, which will be available exclusively on AT&T. This smartphone will be available from 12th June from the AT&T website or its physical stores in Camo White, Camo Blue, or Gray colors.
The Galaxy S6 Active carries the same specifications plus added featurs of water, shock and dust resistance. The Galaxy S 6 active has IP68 certified rating and can remain in water up to 1.5 meters for up to 30 minutes. Then Galaxy S6 Active has been designed for outdoor adventures, and includes a quick launching compass, flashlight, stopwatch etc.
The Galaxy S6 Active also comes with a 5.1-inch Quad HD (1440×2560 pixels) Super Amoled display with a pixel density of 577ppi.It is powered by an octa core Exynos 7420 processor coupled with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. It runs on Android Lollipop OS and is packed with a massive 3500mAh battery with wireless charging technology that works with most wireless charging pads available in the market.
The S6 Active is also equipped with a 16-megapixel rear camera with OIS (optical image stabilisation) and LED flash. It also houses a 5-megapixel front camera for selfies and incorporate camera features such as Quick Launch, Tracking AF, Auto Real-time HDR(Front & Rear) , F1.9, Low Light Video(Front & Rear), High Clear Zoom, IR Detect White Balance, Virtual Shot, Slow Motion, Fast Motion, Pro Mode, Selective Focus etc.
The S6 Active also comes pre-installed with the Samsung Knox security features.
