The leading smrtphones maker Gionee of China, who had made a good impression in India with its Elife range of smartphones, had unveiled the Elife E7 Mini in India in December 2013, alongwith its flagship Gionee Elife E7. The Elife E7 Mini was priced at Rs. 18,999, and was targetted for those customers, who could not afford its premium Elife E7, which started at the price of Rs. 26,999. The Elife E7 is a single SIM smartphone whereas the Mini version supports dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) functionality. However, the mini version of Elife E7 has not been released officially in India. But the leading online e-commerce site Snapdeal.com has listed Gionee Elife E7 MIni for Rs. 19,500 and are promising delivery in two business days.
The Elife E7 Mini sports a 4.7 inch display with resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, and is powered by the recently released octa core MediaTek MT6592 processor clocked at 1.7 GHz along with 1 GB of Ram and 16 GB of internal storage. This is stripped down version of the Elife E7, and is equipped with an 13 MP auto focus swivel camera which can rotate to perform as a rear facing camera or front facing camera as required. The rotating capabilities of the camera has been seen on Oppo N1 smartphone also.The Elife E7 Mini runs on the Android Jelly Bean 4.2 OS with a layer of the company’s Amigo UI. This smartphone will be available in two colour variants – Pink and White.
