At an event in New Delhi, Gionee of China has entered into phablet category and launched its flagship device – Elife E8 with 6 inch display. Gionee has also realised the importance of e-commerce platform and has joined hands with Snapdeal to sell its Elife E8. Gionee Elife E8 will be sold exclusively by Snapdeal at Rs. 34,999 and this phablet will be available from 12th October.
The USP of E8 is its imaging prowess. It is packed with 24 MP rear camera, which will be able to produce photographs up to 120 megapixels in resolution. The Elife E8 is the first Android smartphone, which is claimed to offer lossless zoom that maintains image quality even at 3X zoom along with other camera features such as sapphire glass for the lens, optical image stabilisation, 4K video recording, dual-tone LED flash, and phase detection autofocus for speeds up to 0.08 second. The Elife E8 include one dedicated shooting button and 8 MP front camera for the selfies.
The Gionee E8 also featurs massive 6 inches QHD (1600×2560 pixels) Super AMOLED display with a pixel density of 490ppi. It is powered by an Octa Core 2.0 GHz,MediaTek Helio X10 CPU (Chipset MTK6795) coupled with 3GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. This smartphone is 4G compliant and comes with Dual-SIM and both of which will support 4G. It runs on Android Lollipop 5.1 OS with layer of Gionee’s Amigo 3.1.
The Elife E8 is packed with 3520mAh battery with fast charging feature. It comes with’biological’ Fingerprint scanner,NFC, Dual Speaker and HI-FI Sound.
We were expecting that Elife E8 will be priced around Rs. 30,000 and in our opinion the price is little bit higher. Gionee Elife E8 will compete with upcoming new Huawei Nexus 6P priced at Rs. 40,000 upwards, Moto X Style launched today at Rs. 31,999 for 32GB variant and Honor 7 at Rs. 22,999.
