After launching Marathon M4 With massive 5000mAh Battery in the month of August in India, Gionee of China has gone a step further and launched today Marathon M5 smartphone with unheard of huge 6020 mAh battery for the first time in a smartphone. The Marathon M5 is priced Rs. 17,999 and will be sold exclusively by Flipkart from today onwards in White, Black and Golden colors.
The USP of Marathon M5 is its very powerful and big 6020mAh battery, which according to the company has standby time of upto 684 hours and can provide 62 hours of phone call time in full charge. The phone comes with dual charging chips which ensure better heat dissipation and fast charging. It is even capable of giving standby time of up to 32 hours even if there is only 5% of power left. The M5 also has reverse charging cpability and its battery can be used as a power bank to charge other phones at the same time.
Courtesy its massive battery, Gionee further claims that the users could hear up to 1400 songs with headset on and up to 1090 songs with the speaker on with one full charge.
Besides powerful battery, the Marathon M5 also comes with other strong hardware features. This phone features a 5.5 inch HD AMOLED display. Under the hood is 1.3GHz Quad Core 64 bit processor( MediaTek MT6735 ) paired with 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which can be extended upto 128GB via microSD card. The Marathon M5 is equipped with a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and front facing 5MP camera for clicking selfies.
The Marathon M5 is 4G LTE enabled and supports Dual 4G SIMs, CDMA along with USB-OTG connectivity.This phone has metallic unibody design and has thickness of 8.5mm.
