Google has announced that its newest A-series smartphone – Google Pixel 7a. It is built with the Google Tensor G2 chip and the Titan M2 security chip and has support for 5G SA/NSA– as used in Pixel 7 and 7 Pro – making it faster, more efficient and more secure. It is packed with many of the must-have features of Google’s premium phones that are now available on an A-series phone for the first time — like Face Unlock, 8GB of RAM, a 90Hz display, IP67 dust and water protection, and wireless charging.
Pixel 7a has the same familiar design as Pixel 7 and 7 Pro, with its iconic Pixel camera bar and smooth, sculpted surfaces. Featuring an all-new midframe architecture, Pixel 7a can handle drops and tumbles. Its aluminum housing is made with 100% recycled content.
Google Pixel 7a sports a 6.1 inch FHD+ OLED HDR display (2400 x 1080 pixels) with 90Hz refresh rate and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. This phone is powered by Google Tensor G2 processor with Titan M2 security chip which is combined with 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB (UFS 3.1) internal storage. This phone is packed with 4385mAh battery with 18W wired fast charging and also has feature of wireless charging.
This phone runs on Android 13 and supports Nano and eSIM. It has in-display fingerprint sensor. This phone is Water and dust Resistant with IP67 certification.
For imaging, this phone is armed with 64MP rear camera with IMX787 sensor, LED flash, OIS, 13MP 120° Ultra-wide camera and 13MP front camera with 95° ultra-wide lens. The phone’s main upgraded camera features a 72% larger sensor than Pixel 6a. Night Sight is also twice as fast as on Pixel 6a. You will be able to capture 4K video with the new 13-megapixel front camera. And for the first time on an A-series, Pixel 7a has Long Exposure, which can capture texture and energy in shots of things like waterfalls. Pixel 7a also includes Super Res Zoom up to 8x for sharp, high-quality images.
For connectivity, this phone offers various options of 5G SA/NA, 4G VoLTE, USB Type C 3.3 (Gen 2), NFC, Wi-Fi 6E 802.11ax (2.4/5 GHz), Bluetooth 5.3 LE, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou and NavIC.
