At an event in New Delhi, HTC of Taiwan has unveiled today much awaited HTC One A9 preimum smartphone. But, unfortunately the company has not disclosed its price and its exact date of availability in the market. On being asked when this device will be available, the senior management informed the gathered media that it will be available in two weeks time. But, keeping in view of the track record of HTC, we doubt it whether the company can put this device on the retail shelves so soon. We shall keep you posted of its price and delivery schedule the moment we get any further feedback from the company.
HTC One A9 is the first non-Nexus smartphone which runs on Google’s latest Android Marshmallow 6.0 OS. This phone incorporates a multi-directional fingerprint scanner.
HTC A9 is elegantly looking smartphone and is made of metal and glass. It has refined edges, precision-cut ridges on the power button combined with the super-thin metal frame giving the phone a natural and lightweight feel. This dual finish premium looking phone will be available in a Carbon Gray, Opal Silver, Topaz Gold and Deep Garnet.
The HTC One A9 features a 5 inch full HD AMOLED screen with 1080p resolution with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. It is the first smartphone to run on the Snapdragon 617 proccessor with 64-bit architecture with 4 cores at 1.5GHz and another four cores ticking at 1.2GHz
with Adreno 405 GPU. This phone has RAM of 3GB with internal storage of 32GB. The internal storage can be extended upto 2TB via micoSD card.
This phone runs Android Marshmallow 6.0 OS with HTC Sense skin on top.
This phone is equipped with 13MP rear sensor with sapphire cover lens, optical image stabilization and 1080p video recording. It supports RAW capture for an unmatched level of detail and post-shot editing flexibility. It also has Hyperlapse editing tool feature, which enable you to speed up your videos to 12 times as fast for a dramatic time-lapse effect. It also houses a 4MP UltraPixel sensor in the front with F/2.0 aperture, which is capable of clicking selfies in any lighting condition and can capture 300% more light than conventional smartphone cameras, as claimed by the company.
HTC One A9 is packed with a 2,150 mAh battery with Quick Charge 2.0 support (Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 support will be available in the coming months).
The HTC One A9 also comes with HTC BoomSound integrated into the headset combined with Dolby Audio surround technology. With optional high-resolution HTC Pro Studio Earphones, it is capable of delivering both noise isolation and truly immersive sound.
Besides Fingerprint sensor, this phone also comes with Ambient light sensor, Proximity sensor, Motion G sensor, Compass sensor, Gyro sensor,Magnetic sensor and Sensor Hub.
This phone has connectivity options of 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi: 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4 & 5 GHz), 3.5 mm stereo audio jack and micro-USB 2.0 (5-pin) port.
The HTC One A9 is light device having weight of just 143grams and it has dimensions of 145.75 x 70.8. x 7.26 mm.
