HTC ONE M8 Will Be Available In India At Rs. 49,900 From Ist Week Of May

IMG_1317 (2)HTC One (M8), which is successor to its highly successful HTC One(M7) smartphone and which was unveiled last month, was launched in India today at an event in New Delhi.. This will be available in Gunmetal Gray, Glacial Silver colors, from the first week of May at MOP Rs. 49,900.

HTC claims that HTC One M8 has been crafted with jewelry grade finish and it gives the look and feel of luxurious wearable gadget. It has ultra thin edges and softer curves for a smooth, more natural grip. Not only its looks, but the HTC One M8 is rich in features also. The HTC One (M8) features a 5-inch, full HD (1080p) display, and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor with 2.5 GHz quad-core Krait CPUs. This smartphone runs the latest Android 4.4 KitKat OS with a brand new Sense 6 UI on top. This smartphone has 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage, which can be expanded upto 128GB via microSD card. In the earlier HTC One, the phone did not allow users to expand memory.

M8-tight-crop-7The HTC One(M8) is fuelled by 2600mAh battery, which comes with an extreme power saving mode that will make the battery 40% longer, as claimed by the company. HTC further claims that fully charged battery will last upto 14 days, and can delivers 60 hours of extra standby time at 20% power, 30 hours at 10% power and 15 hours at 5% power.

3_28_Dual-Flash-Macro_1The key feature of the new HTC One is its rear Duo Camera, which the company claims is the world’s first smartphone to have it. The 4.1 megapixel Ultrapixel camera has a dual colour flash and full 1080p HD video recording. This smartphone is also equipped with a 5-MP wide-angle front facing camera. The Duo Camera boasts a depth sensor for capturing detailed depth information from a scene and enabling a range of beautiful and creative effects that allow you to do more with your images. The Duo Camera also allow you to alter the focus of your image after it has been clicked with UFocus. You can also alter the background with creative effects using Foregrounder. You can also give your captured images a seasonal flavour using the Seasons animations. For instance if you want to give effects of snowing or spring on the shots, you can do that by clicking the given icons. With Copy & Paste feature, you can place your two different images together or behind the one as per your taste and requirments. HTC One (M8) has also integrated Slow Motion mode, which lets you shoot HD slow motion video and then edit that video.

The new HTC One also comes with Motion Launch gesture feature, which allow you to interact with the phone without turning on the screen. A simple swipe will activate the device, Auto Answer allows you to answer a call by putting the phone to your ear without touching the screen. HTC One M8 also has interesting accessories like flip case with Dot View. This case has  a LCD display, and the user can not only check the time, weather, new texts, emails, but also can receive or make calls – without touching or revealing the screen, and  by simply swiping up on the surface of the cover.

The new HTC One (M8) is also equipped with the latest HTC BoomSound technology, for delivering sound that is 25% louder than the HTC One (M7). This phone has dual frontal stereo speakers with a new amplifier, redesigned speaker chambers and a tailored audio profile.

The other prominent feature of M8 is HTC BlinkFeed, which has been made more intuitive, and comes with a new layout that presents articles in a clean, easy-to-read way. HTC has introduced a new SDK that allows partners to integrate their own content, and which will enable users to find and subscribe to new media contents. For health-conscious users, the HTC One M8 comes with the preloaded Fitbit app to set your fitness goals and see your achievements in HTC BlinkFeed home screen.

HTC also announced at the lauch event that the ” HTC One (M8) Google Play edition will be available for pre-order from today and for purchase on the Google Play store in the coming weeks.”
