Intex Launches Touch & Type Smartphone- Aqua Qwerty At Rs. 4,990

Indian hansets maker Intex Technologies, has launched today its first ever dual functionality smartphone, Aqua QWERTY. This smartphone has a combination of a touch-sensitive screen and a user-friendly typing qwerty interface. This is targetted for the first time users of smartphone who are not comfortable with touch screen.

Aqua-Qwerty---3D-Black1The Aqua QWERTY sports a 3.5 HVGA display touch screen coupled with a smooth and well spread Qwerty keypad. According to Intex, the reason for bringing out the smartphone with dual functionality screen is based on the facts that the handset market is flooded with myriad touch screen phones, and few market studies suggest that 10 million, out of 50 million-plus smartphone users in India, prefer physical keypads as a majority of the pro-keypad population comprises middle-aged corporate honchos who answer hundreds of emails a day. Interestingly, a touch-and-type combo smartphone is a bonus for an increasing number of women smartphone users who can now adapt to new age technologies and indulge in the world of multimedia and social networking.
