KitSound X3i Portable Speakers [Review]

Audio Output

The most important aspect of owing portable speakers is their ability to deliver optimal music experience. When I say optimal, I mean everything, from bass, treble to noise should be in control. You cannot expect a thumping bass or crystal clear treble but the output should be pleasant enough to enjoy whatever a person is listening to.

Fortunately, the makers of X3i Portable Speaker do understand this. KitSound LittleBoom Speakers (alternative name) were able to deliver almost crisp sound quality. Bass was up to mark but what I really appreciated was the treble output. Brilliant it was! With signal to noise ratio of 85db, I should say the speakers were outstanding.

Listening to Mirror On The Wall (ft. Bruno Mars) was a pleasure 🙂

Battery Performance

As mentioned earlier, these speakers come with 750mAh rechargeable li-ion battery. I have been using them for almost a month now (till the day of publishing this article) and on an average I have been able to extract almost 6 hours of play time. Pretty good battery throughput.

My only concern is that there’s no way to judge available battery capacity. Once charge dries down, the unit just shuts down. No warning, No prelim beeping. In short when travelling you need to keep a track of hours played.
