At IFA 2015 in Berlin, Lenovo has announced two phablets – Phab Plus and Phab. These will be available in select countries in September at USD$299 and at USD $179, respectively.
The PHAB Plus has uni-body design with round edges and polished buttons, crafted from durable yet lightweight aluminum material. It is available in three colors including Gunmetal Grey, Titanium Silver and Champagne Gold.
The Phab Plus features a 6.8 inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) display with a pixel density of 326ppi. It is driven by 1.5Hz 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor with an Adreno 405 GPU. It comes with 2GB RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage with the provision to extend the storage via microSD card.
This phablet runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop with the Vibe UI skin on top. It is equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash and also houses a 5-megapixel front camera. The front camera has Panorama Selfie feature and with dual-LED flash, the camera help users take photos with more natural color and lifelike skin tones, perfect for sharing selfies, while the Low Light settings enable bright pictures to be taken even in dimly lit environments.
This is dual-SIM based phablet and gets its juice from 3500mAh battery. It also supports 4G LTE connectivity. Th Phab Plus has dimensions of 186.6×96.6×7.6mm and its weight is 220 grams.
On the other hand, the Phab also sports a 6.8 inch display but has HD resolution (720×1280 pixels). It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm processor ( details of chipset not available) coupled with 1GB RAM. It is packed with massive 4250mAh battery. This phablet has thickness of 8.9mm and its weight is 250grams. It will be available in Tuxedo Black, Polar White, Aqua Blue or Cherry Red colors.
