LG Announces Start Of Sale Of LG G Pro 2 In Asia

South Korean smartphones maker LG has announced today the start of sales of its latest flagshp smartphone G Pro 2 in the Asia Region in markets including Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Philippine, Vietnam and Indonesia among others. According to LG, the details regarding the availability of G Pro 2 in specific countries will be announced locally. Similarly, the prices for the different countries will also be declared at the time of the launch of the G Pro 2 in the respecive countries.

lg-g-pro-2-04LG has also not yet revealed its plan when G Pro 2 will hit the Indian market. This smartphone was unveiled in South Korea in February and subsequently showcased at MWC in Barcelona where it was well received for its innovative UX features, superb display and advanced camera functions.

The LG G Pro 2 sports a 5.9 inch full HD display with 1080×1920 pixels, with an extra slim bezel of 3.3mm, which LG claims is an industry-leading screen-to-frame ratio of 77.2 percent. This phablet is powereed by Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor((2.26 GHz Quad-Core), coupled with 3GB of RAM and 16GB/32GB of internal storage. This smartphone is equipped with 13MP rear camera with LG’s proprietary OIS (Optical Image Stabilizer Plus) technology. This device also has 2.1MP front camera.

The LG G Pro 2 has some advanced camera features including its capability to record slow motion HD video at 120FPS and it can also record in 4K. The other feature of the camera is a flash for selfie that reduces the size of the preview screen and adds a bright white background for more soft lighting in self-portrait mode. The camera is capable of taking up to 20 continuous shots and automatically edits them to create a video of the captured images. It allows users to select photos from their gallery to create a collage for easy uploading to social network sites.

The LG G PRO 2 is also equipped with high-power 1Watts, Hi-Fi sound speaker system, which LG claims is 30 percent louder than the previous G Pro. This smartphone incorporates a completely unique feature called Knock Code, which makes unlocking and using the G Pro 2 easier and more convenient than ever before. This is advanced version of KnockON feature that was first unveiled last year in the LG G2. Knock Code allows users to power on and unlock their G Pro 2 smartphones in one easy step by tapping their screens using one of 86,367 “knock” combinations.

Speaking on the occasion of announcement of availability of LG G Pro 2,  Dr. Jong-seok Park, president and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company said,“With its 5.9-inch Full HD IPS display, versatile camera functions and user-oriented UX features, we expect the LG G Pro 2 to make a strong impression with Asian customers. Asian consumers have been the biggest fans of smartphones with displays over five inches and we wanted to make sure that the G Pro 2 exceeded their high expectations.”
