LG Optimus G With 1.7 GHz Quad Core Expected To Debut In India By End February

After launch of  the LG Optimus G Pro smartphone in Japan by telecom giant NTT DoCoMo, LG has plans to roll out its high-end 4G LTE smartphone Optimus G into over 50 countries this month. The Optimus G has already been launched successfully in the United States, Canada, Korea and now Japan. LG aims to take advantage of the overwhelming response this device has received in the countries where it has been already been launched. LG’s Optimus G has been received so enthusiastically  that LG has been able to sell 1 million units since its debut a couple of months ago as revealed by the company.

As per unconfirmed sources, LG Optimus G is expected to be launched in India by the end of February. In the days to come, the exact status of launch date will emerge.

LG  Optimus G features a 5-inch full-HD (1920×1080) display and comes with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. It houses a 13-megapixel rear camera, which a user can instruct to take snaps by talking to it, and a 2.4-megapixel front camera. This smartphone is powered by advanced 1.7 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor with 2 GB RAM. It has internal storage of 32 GB with microSDXC expansion support, LTE support and comes with a 3,000 mAh battery.

There is no hint of pricing for India market and this will be known close on the heels of the official launch. This device will give tough competition to Samsung’s flagship Galaxy range of smartphones and to Apple’s iPhone 5. Of late, LG has been very aggressive with its Optimus G devices throughout the world and arrival of this device in India will set the high-end smartphone market on fire.
