Maruti Suzuki has launched today new Dzire Sedan in Diesel and Petrol variants in 14 trims. The new Dzire comes without the name of Swift and is available in six colors.
The new Dzire has got facelift in the exteriors and interiors to give it more glam look. This new Dzire is built on the fifth generation HEARTECT platform to make it more sturdy and lightweight.
The new Dzire comes with chrome finished grille and projector headlamps. The new sedan has 15-inch diamond cut alloy wheels. On the back, LED taillights have been given with a new design.
In the interiors, the new sedan now boasts of a touchscreen infotainment system with support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay etc. To add more comfort, the top range of new sedan has been equipped with push-button start and rear AC vents for providing more comfort to the rear passengers. For security, ABS and dual airbags, ISOFIX (child seat restraint system) have been provided as standard in all the models of new Dzire. The new sedan comes with more boot space of 378 litres and more leg room in the rear.
On the engine front there is no change and the new sedan has same 1.2-litre 84PS/113Nm petrol and the 75PS/190Nm 1.3-litre diesel engines which are fuel efficient. Maruti claims that diesel variant can give upto 28.4 kmpl and the petrol variant can give mileage of 22.0 kmpl. It also incorporates Auto Gear Shift (AGS) technology on the V trim up to Z and Z+.
In all, six variants of the New Dzire (in diesel and petrol) now offer the acclaimed AGS technology.

The new Maruti Dzire will face competition from new Hyundai Xcent, Honda Amaze, Tata Tigor and the Ford Aspire.
