Connectivity
The Phone has GSM 900 / 1800 bands on 2G and HSDPA 2100 on 3G. Other connectivity features include Wi-Fi ‘n’, Bluetooth v4.0 and USB plug-and-play support.
Overall network performance was impressive and voice handling was good courtesy decent microphones and speakers fitted in Canvas HD A116. Although to bring it up, Audio did seem to be slightly distorted at times but that happened a couple of times (maybe because of poor network area).
In terms of extra added content Micromax Canvas HD A116 comes bundled with its very own M! Store, M!Zone, some games like Cricket Fever, Fruit Devil, productivity apps like File Manager, M! Buddy and HookUp.
Battery Life
The phone’s battery lasts around 12.5 hours in normal usage that includes its screen at medium brightness, some video, casual gaming, around 45 minutes of phone calls, email and web browsing. Turn on Wi-Fi, and you can expect a drop to around 11 hours – overall, a middling battery performance.
Its not bad but Micromax could have done better by giving it a slightly beefier battery unit.
