Indian handsets maker, Micromax is showing aggression in dominating the entry-level and mid-level smartphone segment. Today, they have announced the availability of its Micromax Canvas Lite A92 smartphone at retail outlets for Rs. 8,499.
This smartphone comes with 5-inch TFT capacitive touch screen display with a resolution of 480X854 pixels, and is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor and 512MB of RAM. Micromax Canvas Lite A92 runs on Android Jelly Bean 4.1 OS. It has an internal storage space of 4GB, which is expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card. It is a dual-SIM GSM+GSM smartphone. This smartphone is equipped with 5MP fixed focus camera with flash. There is no frontal shooter on this device. Other connectivity options include 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth V 4.0 and GPS. Measuring 77x147x10.8 mm, Micromax has packed its Canvas Lite A92 with 2000 mAh battery, which the company claim will give talk time of 6 hours and 30 minutes and 240 hours of standby time.
Micromax has positioned its Canvas Lite A92 for entry-level customers who wish to experiment with Android device with display of 5 inches, which is becoming the norm of almost all the smartphones makers. If somebody wants to buy 5 inch display with latest Android Jelly Bean OS and has constraint on its pocket then Canvas Lite A92 would be the ideal choice for such customers.
