Micromax, India’s leading handset manufacturer, and Sistema Shyam TeleServices Limited that provides telecom services under the MTS brand, have joined hands to launch Canvas Blaze – an EVDO + GSM dual SIM smartphone. This smartphone is priced at Rs. 10,999, and comes with an attractive bundled offer from MTS offering FREE 2GB Data and 1000 minutes for MTS to MTS local calling, and120 minutes for other local and STD calls, for 6 months from the date of purchase.
According to Micromax, Canvas Blaze has been designed exclusively for the young, tech-savvy internet generation. It brings together the best of Micromax’s smartphone expertise and MTS’ inherent strengths in providing high speed data services on 3G EVDO networks. Micromax and MTS will introduce a range of co-developed smartphones in the future that will deliver exceptional experience for the consumer, driving enhanced data experience for customers across the country.
The Canvas Blaze boasts a 5” full touch display, and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 1GHz dual-core CPU with integrated EVDO and a GSM modem and runs on Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean). This smartphone has an expandable memory of upto 32 GB and is equipped with an 8.0MP rear camera with flash and VGA front camera. This phone is packed with 1850mAh battery. Micromax has not clarified about its RAM and internal memory capacity. For connectivity options, this phone supports Bluetooth v2.0 and Wi-Fi.
