Microsoft has unveiled “Gears of War: Judgment”, the latest blood and gore adventure, only on Xbox 360. Developed exclusively for Microsoft Studios by Epic Games and People Can Fly, “Gears of War: Judgment” is an adrenaline pumping prequel that also features spectacular multi-player action on Xbox LIVE. It honors a new hero – Jason Baird, offers an expanded weapons arsenal, and has ferocious enemies thirsting for each other’s blood.
The game’s brand-new multi-player experience, OverRun, is a thrilling new class-based competitive mode unlike anything “Gears” fans have experienced before. The cooperative gameplay on Xbox LIVE brings a new vantage point for the gamer into one of the richest and most acclaimed sagas in gaming. The “Gears of War” standard edition priced at Rs. 2999/- will be available in retail stores across India starting Wednesday, March 20.
The “Gears of War: Judgment” story unveils through a series of flashbacks. It is played from the perspective of the Kilo Squad, led by tech-geek Damon Baird, as they battle ferocious new enemies with an expanded arsenal of weapons. As war rages around them, the entire Kilo Squad including the flamboyant Augustus “The Cole Train” Coleis put on trial. Gamers can experience first-hand the events that led up to their court-martial as the events are recounted during the trial – how the Kilo Squad struggles to fight off the Locust horde, as they burst from the ground on Emergence Day, led by a terrifying new Locust Leader: General Karn.
The OverRun mode allows gamers to form five-player teams that take turns at pitting Locust and COG soldiers in a head-to-head battle. If players want to up the ante and make the game more difficult, there is an option to do just that. One can increase the difficulty level by declassifying critical information with the new Declassified Testimony system. By declassifying testimony within the course of the campaign, weapons and alternate scenarios will be unlocked and change the way enemies are fought against going forward.
The “Gears of War” franchise of games is exclusive to the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system and the Xbox LIVE online entertainment network. It is one of the most popular franchises in Xbox history, having sold more than 18 million games worldwide, and spawning New York Times-bestselling novels, toys, collectibles, graphic novels and more.
