Nexus 7 Tablet Available In India On Google Play Store For Rs.15,999

Google’s much-awaited Nexus 7 tablet has finally arrived in Indian market and is available for Indian customers via Google Play(India) store. However, only the 16GB Wi-Fi version of the tablet is available on the store at a price of Rs. 15,999. The tablet will be shipped by April 5, 2013, if the order is placed immediately and the payment has to be done in advance by credit or debit card.

The Nexus 7  runs  latest Android Jelly Bean (version 4.2) and is powered by the Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core processor, which clocks at 1.3 GHz. The Nexus 7 comes with a 7-inch IPS display screen with a resolution of 1280×800 pixels and pixel density of 216 ppi. The screen is said to be covered with a scratch-resistant corning glass. The tablet has 1GB of RAM, a 1.2 megapixel front camera. Weighing 340g, the Google Nexus 7 is powered by a 4325 mAH battery which is claimed to give up to 8 hours of active use.  Its connectivity options include WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth and NFC (Android Beam).

This tablet will give tough competition to mini iPad of Apple. The other awaited products of Google in India are  the Nexus 4, its flagship smartphone, and the Nexus 10, the company’s 10-inch tablet. Google has not given any indication so far when these devices would be available in India.
