OnePlus Announces Extended Warranty Service For Its Current & Future Smartphones

To gain confidence of Indian users and future buyers as far as warranty issues are concerned, Chinese brand OnePlus has announced an industry-first ‘extended warranty’ service for its smartphone users in India. Under this confidence building measure, all service related issues till date and henceforth pending for more than 15 working days at service centres will automatically get a 3 months extended warranty. This service will be applicable on the OnePlus One and all future smartphones to be launched in India.


This service is also applicable to those Indian users also who purchased the OnePlus One smartphone from oneplus.net prior to the India launch.

As of now, many prospective buyers of Chinese smartphones have apprehensions about after-sales-service support and this announcement of OnePlus would bring more customers to the fold of OnePlus.

Commenting on this announcement, Vikas Agarwal, General Manager – India, OnePlus, said: “OnePlus is committed to long term growth in India and are investing significant resources in revamping our service offerings. While it is our constant endeavor to close most of our customer service requests within 3 days, this complimentary extended warranty will compensate users in case of any unexpected delays. We have always considered our fans and users to be a priority, and this service is a testimony of our efforts in empowering them further.”

Just to refreshen the memory of our readers, the OnePlus One smartphone features high-end features. It sports an 5.5-inch IPS LCD display (1080×1920 pixel resolution) and offers a pixel density of 401ppi with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 clocked at 2.5GHz with Adreno 330 GPU paired with 3GB of RAM and 16GB/64GB of internal storge.

The One is equipped with a 13-megapixel rear IMX214 sensor with six lenses and f/2.0 aperture, and also houses a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It is packed with a 3100mAh non-removable battery.
