OnePlus has launched today its mid-segmented smartphone – OnePlus Nord to cater to demand of those customers who can not afford its premium range such as OnePlus 7 and recently announced 8 series of smartphones. The Nord is powered by Snapdragon 765G chipset and comes with upto 12GB RAM, which is unheard of in this segment.
The Nord sports a 6.44 inch AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate having resolution of 2400 x 1800 pixels. The display has punch hole design and comes with 20:9 aspect ratio and protection of Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Under the hood is Snapdragon 765G chipset paired with Adreno 620 GPU. It comes with 6/8/12GB LPDDR4X RAM and 64/128/256GB (UFS 2.1) of internal storage. This phone is packed with 4,115 mAh battery with Warp Charge 30T fast charging support which is claimed to charge the phone from zero to 70 percent in 30 minutes.
For photography, the Nord is armed wtih four rear cameras comprising of 48MP primary camera with Sony IMX586 sensor, f/1.75 aperture, Optical Image Stabilization (OIS); 8MP ultrawide sensor with f/2.25 ultrawide lens having a field of view of 119 degrees, 5MP depth sensor and 2MP macro lens with f/2.4 aperture. For selfie, this phone is given 32MP IMX616 primary sensor with f/2.45 lens and 8MP secondary sensor with f/2.45 ultrawide lens having 105 degrees field of view.
For security, this phone has in-display fingerprint sensor and face unlock. This phone runs on Oxygen OS 10.5 based on Android 10. This is Dual SIM supporting phone and offers various connectivity options of 4G VoLTE,5G, NFC, Bluetooth 5.1, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, GPS/ A-GPS and USB Type-C port.
The Nord comes in two colors of Blue Marble and Gray Onyx. It is priced Rs. 24,999 for the 6GB RAM + 64GB storage, Rs. 27,999 for the 8GB + 128GB storage option and Rs. 29,999 for the 12GB + 256GB storage variant. It will go on sale in India from 4th August on Amazon.in, OnePlus.in. Initially, the 128GB and 256GB variants will be available and the 64GB variant will be available in September.
