OPPO has expanded its popular F series and launched today two new smartphones – Oppo F17 and F17 Pro. These phones boast of an ultra-slim body and 30W VOOC Flash Charge 4.0. OPPO F17 Pro is 7.48mm thin and weighs just 164 grams making it the sleekest smartphone of 2020. For the first time, OPPO F17 Pro has a thin 220 Degree Edge to give users a more comfortable and smoother in-hand feel of the device. OPPO F17 Pro is crafted with a unique shiny matte color using a new optical coating technique that results in a Fingerprint Resistant finish.
OPPO F17 Pro sports a 6.43” Full HD+ Super AMOLED screen with 90.7% screen-to-body ratio.The display has Mini Dual-Punch Holes that has the industry’s smallest camera diameter of only 3.7mm to ensure that the screen’s real estate is maximized to fully enjoy video games and intricate details. The screen also features In-Display Fingerprint Unlock 3.0, which can rapidly unlock a screen in 0.3 seconds
OPPO F17 Pro flaunts six cameras with easy-to-use portrait photography and video stabilization features. It has four rear cameras at the rear comprising of 48MP with f/1.8 aperture, 8MP wide-angle lens, 2MP monochrome sensor with f/2.4 aperture and 2Mp portrait sensor with f/2.4 aperture. For selfies, it is equipped with 16MP primary camera and 2MP depth sensor.
The cameras of this phone come with various features such as AI Super Clear Portrait, an AI Night Flare Portrait that combines the bokeh effect and lowlight-HDR algorithms to capture artistic portraits even in low-light. It also features OPPO’s AI Beautification 2.0 that is customized for Indian beauty preference and preserves natural skin tones. OPPO F17 Pro also features the third generation of Ultra Steady Video that not only enables users to effortlessly shoot a vlog while walking down the street but also ensures that the smartphone captures stabilized clearer and sharper videos.
The F17 Pro is packed with 4000mAh battery along with OPPO’s proprietary 30W VOOC Flash Charge 4.0 technology which is claimed to charge 74% in just 30 minutes. This phone is powered by MediaTek Helio P95 AI chipset with 2 ARM Cortex-A75 Prime Cores operating at up to 2.2GHz and 6 ARM Crotex-A55 Efficiency Cores that can operate at up to 2.0GHZ. This phone comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, which can be further extended up to 256GB through a 3-Card Slot.
With the OPPO F17 Pro, users can take the calls without even touching the phone with the Air Gesture feature. The feature allows users to pick up calls without directly touching the phone by simply waving their hands as far as 20 cm or even 50 cm.
This phone runs on ColorOS 7.2 based on Android 10. This phone incorporates DocVault app that allows you to access your digital document on the go. As the first smartphone brand to incorporate DigiLocker and set it as a built-in app, OPPO F17 Pro’s DocVault enables users to carry digital versions of national identity cards, driver’s licenses, and other important documents instead of paper copies. F17 Pro will be one of the first OPPO devices to get the next ColorOS iteration based on Android11.
Oppo F17 sports a 6.44” full high definition Waterdrop display with the third generation of In-Display Fingerprint display. It is also packed with 4,000mAh battery with 30W VOOC 4.0. It is powered by Snapdragon 662 octa-core processor paired with 6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB storage.
The OPPO F17 features a 16MP main camera, 119-degree wide-angle 8MP camera, a 2MP monochrome camera and a 2MP retro camera. It has a 16MP Front Camera for selfies. It runs on ColorOS 7.2 based on Android 10. It has 7.45mm of thickness and weighs 163 grams.
Both the phone offers connectivity options of Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS and USB Type-C port.
OPPO F17 Pro will be available at INR 22,990 for the 8+128GB variant in three colors of Magic Blue, Matte Black, and Metallic White. It will be available across all online and offline stores from 7th September and the company is offering various offers of cashback and EMI options. The price and date of availability of F17 has not been revealed by the company.
