Teased at the lauch event of Oppo F5 in Mumbai last month, today the Oppo F5 Youth smartphone has been official in India. It is priced Rs. 16,990 and will go on sale from 8th December via offline and online channels. Oppo F5 Youth is lighter version of Oppo F5 and the diference between Oppo F5 and F5 Youth is in RAM size, rear and front camera specifications. Rest of the features remain the same.
Like Oppo F5, the F5 Youth also flaunts a 6 inch FHD+ display with resolution of 2160 × 1080 pixels with 18:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6763T processsor mated with 3GB of RAM (4GB on Oppo F5) and 32GB of internal storage that can be expanded upto 256GB via microSD card. It also has dual-SIM card support and has a dedicated microSD card slot. This phone runs on Android 7.1 Nougat with layer of Color OS 3.2. This phone is packed with 3,200 mAh non-removable battery.
For selfies, it is mounted with 16MP front-facing camera (20MP was on Oppo F5) with f/2.0 aperture, screen flash with feature of bokeh effect. It also has an industry first Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology for capturing perfect selfies. Integrated into front camera, AI Beauty technology uses intelligence from a massive global photo database, to beautify a selfie shot. The rear camera has 13MP sensor (16MP on Oppo F5) with LED flash and f/1.8 aperture.
This phone incorporates fingerprint sensor on the back and also boasts of facial recognition feature to unlock the phone. For connectivity, this phone offers options of 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS, 3.5mm audio jack and FM radio.
