At the Snapdragon Tech Summit Digital 2021 in USA where Qualcomm has introduced their flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Mobile Platform, OPPO announced to release a new flagship smartphone powered by the new premium Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Mobile Platform in the first quarter of 2022, making it one of the first companies that will adopt the latest Snapdragon platform. OPPO further stated that they will continue to collaborate with Qualcomm Technologies in accelerating the development of 5G and exploring the future of smartphone innovations.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 mobile processor is packed with various advanced features such as 10 Gigabit built-in 5G Qualcomm Snapdragon X65 5G modem-RF system, Qualcomm Fast Connect 6900 Mobile Connectivity System for Wi-Fi speeds of up to 3.6 Gbps over Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 6E standards. This processor supports Bluetooth v5.2. The new platform claims to provide 20 percent faster performance and 30 percent power efficiency currently available on the Snapdragon 888. It also comes with advanced features for mobile photography and gaming.
