Luxury designs are the name of game now for smartphones. In order to lure customers to buy elegantly looking devices, which oflate have become fashion statement, Chinese brand OPPO has launched today its Mirror 5 smartphone. This phone is priced Rs. 15,990 and will start selling in India this week in white and blue color options.
To enable the buyers to flaunt this device, the Mirror 5 comes with a unique diamond-like mirrored back panel designed with individual cut-glass segments consisting of different reflective properties. This has been crafted using a sophisticated ultraviolet embossing technique, as staed by the company.
The OPPO Mirror 5 reminds one of recently launched ZenFone 2 Deluxe smartphone, which also comes with crystal looking back panel.
From the hardware perspective, the OPPO Mirror 5 comes with mediocre specifications. It features a 5 inch IPS display with resolution of 960×540 pixels and 220 PPI. This is Dual-SIM device and runs on OPPO’s latest ColorOS 2.1 based on the latest Android 5.1 Lollipop OS. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon Quad-Core 64 bit processor coupled with 2GB RAM + 16GB ROM, that can be expanded to 128GB via microSD card.
The Mirror 5 is equipped with an 8-megapixel rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies. Both the cameras come with various features to enhance your photography experience. The front camera comes with Beautify 3.0 feature to captures beautiful and natural self-portraits with ease, without any trace of image editing. You can capture crisp and detailed images with rear camera even in low-light conditions thanks to its employment of Pure Image 2.0+ engine technology. Moreover, with simple press of a button, Mirror 5 automatically takes six snaps, creates and combines them into a 24 megapixel photo, perfect for high quality prints. The camera also has features of Double Exposure, Time-lapse, Panorama, Colorful Night Shot, and more.
The Mirror 5 supports 4G/LTE network and is fuelled by a 2420mAh battery. The weight of this device is 160 grams with battery.
The Mirror 5 also comes with Smart Remote Control app to control various household appliances with the phone.
OPPO is currently selling 16 smartphones in India including flagship models such as the N3, R5 and Find 7.
