Oppo of China has launched its latest smartphone Oppo R7s in GITEX technology exhibition in Dubai. The USP of this smartphone is its 4GB RAM and it features a 5.5-inch full HD AMOLED display. To give it a premium and beautiful, Oppo R7s also dons an air-craft grade metal uni body design with a 2.5D arc-edge glass screen and elegant curves, which is similar to its R7 series of smartphones.
Oppo R7s sports a 5.5-inch full HD AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and 4th-generation Corning Gorilla Glass protection. Under the hood is Qualcomm 64-bit Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor(MSM8939) and Adreno 405 GPU. It comes with 4GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage which can be further expanded to 128GB via a microSD card.
The Oppo R7s is 4G LTE dual-SIM based smartphone and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS with ColorOS 2.1 skin on top of it. It also offers other connectivity options of Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, GPS and Bluetooth 4.0, Micro-USB, and USB OTG etc.
On the optics front, this phone is equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and an 8-megapixel front shooter for selfies. The R7s camera uses Flash Shot technology which assures fast launch, fast focus and stable imaging. Flash Shot’s Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF) is equal to that of an SLR camera, delivering an auto focus time of as little as 0.1 seconds, as claimed by the company.
The other powerful feature of this phone is its 3,070mAh non-removable battery with Oppo’s VOOC Flash Charge technology, which the company claims can charge the smartphone from zero to 75 percent in just 30 minutes.
The company has not revealed the price of R7s and its availability in India. The company will be launching this phone first in Australia followed by other markets including Singapore,Taiwan,Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand among others in the month of November. This phone will be available in Europe and USA in the month of December via OPPO style website. Let us wait for its launch in India.
The Oppo R7s will get tough competition from Asus ZenFone 2 which also comes with 4GB of RAM, 5.5-inch full-HD display, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front-facing camera and 3000mAh battery.
From specifications point of view, this phone looks quite interesting and enticing, but lot will depend upon on its price as Oppo phones are normally priced a little bit higher.
