Oppo has announced today its flagship smartphone, Oppo Reno Ace in China. The highlights of this phone are its Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset, 90Hz Amoled Display and 65W fast charging technology for the battery.
The Reno Ace flaunts a 6.5-inch (2400 × 1080 pixels) Full HD+ AMOLED waterdrop notch display with 20:9 aspect ratio and 90Hz refresh rate. Under the hood is the latest Octa-Core Snapdragon 855 Plus processor with Adreno 640 GPU. It comes with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM with 128GB / 256GB UFS 3.0 storage and alternatively with 12GB LPDDR4X RAM with 256GB UFS 3.0 storage. This phone is packed with 4000mAh battery and is the first smartphone in the world to come with 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 Flash Charge which is claimed to charge the full battery in just 30 minutes.
This is Dual SIM supporting phone and runs on Android 9.0 Pie with ColorOS 6.1. This phone comes with various features for performance enhancements such as Hyper Boost, Game Assistant, TurboBoost 2.0 and FrameBoost 2.0. It has in-display fingerprint sensor and face unlock feature.
For imaging, this phone is equipped with 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor, f/1.7 aperture with features of PDAF, OIS, EIS; 13MP telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture with features of 5x Hybrid Optical Zoom, 20X digital zoom; 8MP 116-degree ultra-wide-angle lens and 2MP macro lens. For selfie, it has a 16MP front-facing camera.
For connectivity, this phone offers options of USB Type-C, NFC, Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac dual-band, Bluetooth 5, GPS/GLONASS etc.
The Reno Ace has gradient-finish design and comes in two color options of Blue and Violet. It is priced CNY 3199 (approx Rs. 32,000) for 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant, CNY 3399 (approx. Rs. 34,000) for 8GB RAM + 256GB storage model and CNY 3799 (approx. Rs. 38,000) for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant. It will go on sale in China from October 17th and we can expect this phone to arrive in India very soon.
