Panasonic, which is one of the leading manufacturers of rugged notebooks for business uses has launched today yet another world’s first fully rugged detachable notebook – Toughbook CF-20 in India. The Toughbook CF-20 is ideal for business applications and is built for challenging environments, including field services, utilities, oil and gas, transportation and logistics, healthcare, insurance, public safety and defense.
This is fully rugged device and is water proof with IP65 certifid. It is lighweight 2-in- 1 device which detaches easily and can be used as a laptop and a tablet. It has a magnesium alloy chassis and with its built-in handle, one can carry it easily and which also functions as a kickstand to provide on-the-job flexibility.
This notebook runs on Windows 10 Pro or Windows 7 Professional.
The Toughbook CF-20 has 10.1 inch WUXGA sunlight-viewable 800 nit IPS display with resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels (224 PPI), which would be ideal for outdoors and working even in deserts. It has gloved multi touch display This is packed with Intel Core m5-6Y57 vPro Processor (4MB cache, 1.1GHz up to 2.8 GHz with Intel Turbo Boost Technology) and is paired with 8GB RAM, 128GB SSD which is upgradeable to 256GB or 512GB.
This notebook offers variety of ports on both tablet and keyboard dock including USB (including one high powered 1.5A USB on tablet), SDXC, HDMI, VGA, Serial, Ethernet and offers connectivity options of 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, optional 4G LTE multi carrier or Dedicated GPS.
This device comes with identical, removable, full-shift 2600mAh battery and second battery as an option in the keyboard dock. The optional bridge battery allows batteries to be hot swapped for continuous use so that the work does not suffer.
This will be available in Aug 2016 from authorized Panasonic resellers at an estimated price of INR 2.25 lakhs plus taxes. It comes with a standard three-year limited warranty.
