Samsung Adds Silver Color To Galaxy Alpha Smartphone

Samsung India today announced the addition of ‘Sleek Silver’ colour to the Galaxy Alpha smartphone range. Galaxy Alpha is now available in four colours including Sleek Silver, Charcoal Black, Dazzling White and Frosted Gold. The Galaxy Alpha was launched in India with three colors in the month of October.


The Galaxy Alpha runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box and sports a 4.7 inch HD Super AMOLED display (1280 x 720). It is powered by Octa Core (Quad 1.8GHz + Quad 1.3GHz) processor, paired with 2GB RAM and 32GB ROM. There is no provision to extend the internal storage.

The Galaxy Alpha is equipped with a 12-megapixel rear camera and also houses a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera. The camera of the Alpha has features like shadow free HDR, Phase Detection and selective focus.

It is fuelled by a removable 1860mAh battery with Ultra-Power Saving mode. It is claimed to have life of 10 to 11 hours for mixed usage.

For connectivity, it has options of 4G LTE, Micro-USB, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPRS/EDGE, 3G, and NFC. This phone measures 132.4 x 65.5 x 6.7 mm.

The Galaxy Alpha also includes innovative and popular features introduced by Samsung on its flagship Galaxy S 5 such as S Health and Finger Print Scanner. It also offers connectivity with the latest Samsung Gear Fit, Gear Live and Gear 2 wearables.
