On 21st April, there was reports in the media that Samsung has dropped the price of Galaxy S5. This news emanated from the fact that the popular e-commerce sites flipkart and snapdeal had mentioned the price of Rs. 46,400 for Galaxy S5. We had also written a blog on 22nd April wherein we had mentioned that Galaxy S5 is available for Rs. 46,400 on flipkart, but we did not declare that Samsung has officially dropped the price. We had based our report on the basis of the price mentioned by Flipkart for S5 on 22nd April. We had also stated in our blog that the official price of Galaxy S5 remain unchanged and Samsung is selling the S5 for Rs. 51,500 through its e-store.

samsung_galaxy_s5To clear the confusion created by reports of reduction of price of Galaxy S5, Samsung India has released the press statement in which they have clarified that the price of the Galaxy S5 remains unchanged.
