Samsung has finally unveiled its latest high-end phablet Galaxy A9 in an event in China. This phone was being rumored to be coming with lot of speculations. The Galaxy A9 comes with very powerful features and it will start selling in China later in the month. The company has not disclosed the price of this phablet. The company has also not revealed its plan to introduce this device in other global markets including India.
The Galaxy A9 is very impressive from its hardware specifications. This phablet flaunts a 6 inch AMOLED display having 1920 x 1080 resolution with 2.5D curved glass. It is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 652 processor combined with 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which can be expanded upto 128GB via microSD card.
The Galaxy A9 is equipped with 13 MP rear camera with OIS and ƒ/1.9 aperture. It also houses an 8 MP front snapper.
To address the problem of low capacity battery in majority of Samsung phones, the company has packed Galaxy A9 with massive non-removable 4,000 mAh battery with Qualcomm’s Quick Charge. Unfortunately, Galaxy A9 runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS and not on the latest Android Marshmallow OS.
This phablet also incorporates a fingerprint sensor that is embedded into the physical home button. This phone offers connectivity options of 4G LTE, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v 4.1, NFC and also provide support for Samsung Pay.
Like the latest Galaxy S6 series of smartphones, the Galaxy A9 also is made of metal and glass on the back.
