Sony has launched today its flagship Xperia Z2 and mid-range Xperia M2 smartphones alongwith other devices at MWC.
The Sony Xperia Z2 features a 5.2-inch (1080×1920 pixel) Triluminos display with X-Reality engine, and is powered by a 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor with an Adreno 330 GPU coupled with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of built-in storage, which can be expanded upto 64 GB via microSD card. This smartphone is fuelled with a 3000mAh battery, which is claimed to deliver up to 830 hours of talk time, standby time of 880 hours, continuous music playback time of 110 hours.
The Xperia Z2 is equipped with a 20.7-megapixel rear camera with Exmor RS sensor which is capable of 4K (Ultra-HD) video recording, and a 2.2-megapixel rear camera. For connectivity, it supports 4G LTE, HSPA+, Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi hotspot functionality, DLNA, GPS with A-GPS, Bluetooth v4.0, NFC, FM radio with RDS, and has a 3.5mm audio jack.
The Sony Xperia M2 is a mid-range smartphone running on Android Jelly Bean version 4.2.2. It features a 4.8 inch display with resolution of 960 x 540 pixels, and is powered by a quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz, coupled with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage. This smartphone has Dual-Sim support with 4G LTE connectivity. This is equipped with an 8 MP rear facing camera with Exmor RS sensor, and 1.9 MP front facing camera. It is apcked with a 2330 mAh battery.
