Vivo has launched today Vivo V30 series in India comprising of two smartphones – Vivo V30 and V30 Pro.
Camera
The vivo V30 Pro comes equipped with a ZEISS Triple Main camera with Sony IMX920 sensor. It includes a 50 MP ZEISS Professional Portrait Camera, a 50MP AF Ultra Wide-Angle Camera, and a 50 MP (VCS) True Color Main Camera with Optical Image Stabilization, enabling the camera to deliver clear photos even in shaky conditions as claimed by the brand.
The V30 Pro comes with the ZEISS Style Portrait, bringing six different portrait-style bokeh options inspired by the distinctive bokeh look of iconic ZEISS lenses. These include ZEISS Biotar, Sonnar, Planar, Distagon, Cinematic Style Bokeh, and ZEISS Cine-Flare Portrait.
The V30 Pro introduces ZEISS Cinematic Video Bokeh, delivering a cinematic experience with its 2.39:1 aspect ratio and AI-powered natural bokeh effect. Furthermore, ZEISS Natural Color makes the pictures look and feel more real and natural, and the ZEISS Border Watermark feature adds an artistic touch to photos, showcasing the vivo ZEISS Co-engineered Imaging System.
In contrast, the vivo V30 boasts a 50MP (VCS) True Color Main Camera equipped with Optical Image Stabilization and a 50MP AF Ultra Wide-Angle Camera.
The ultra-wide-angle camera on the V30 series provides an impressive 119% ultra-wide-angle perspective. Both devices also feature vivo’s exclusive Studio Quality Aura Light Technology that aims to provide studio-like control over lighting challenges in portrait photography, including low light, complex scenarios, and color accuracy. For group photos, it offers the 50 MP AI Group Portrait feature, a perfectly angled 92° wide-angle lens, and portrait autofocus for clear shots of subjects at any distance.
Coming to the front camera of the V30 Series smartphones, the 50-MP Eye AF Group Selfie camera features a remarkable 50 MP resolution, improved wide-angle lens, and standard autofocus. Furthermore, both smartphones are also equipped to record 4K videos from the front and rear cameras.
Display
The V30 series sport a 6.78-inch, 1.5K (2800×1260) 3D curved AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, with a peak local brightness of 2800 nits. To provide an industry-leading eye protection solution, covering both hardware and software, vivo has obtained the professional SGS eye-protection certification for the V30 series, ensuring a comfortable and healthy experience for consumers. To ensure durability, the vivo V30 series comes with high-performance Schott Xensation ? glass for the display.
Battery and Processor and OS
vivo V30 series is packed with 5000 mAh battery with 80W FlashCharge. vivo V30 Pro is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 8200 SoC processor that utilizes TSMC’s 4 nm process and a 3.1 GHz super large core. The V30 on the other hand is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor.
The vivo V30 series heat dissipation system within its slim body, features a large VC covering the primary heat source for stable performance. With 11 built-in temperature sensors, the V30 series monitors temperature in real time, enhancing heat dissipation efficiency and intelligence.
Both devices operate on FunTouch OS 14 and come with a software promise of 3 generations of Android updates & 4 years of security updates.
Design
Sporting a slim 7.45 mm design and 3D curve, the V30 Pro and V30 smartphones boast an elegant 3D borderless curved display, enhancing the in-hand feel for the users. The V30 and V30 Pro weighs just 186g and 188g respectively.
The phone is designed with a reinforced middle frame, raised metal edge, and customized aluminum alloy corners for added durability and fall resistance. Inspired by air-raid shelter designs, it features cushioning materials, a stress conduction structure, and sealed vulnerable areas for enhanced water resistance.
RAM and Storage/Connectivity
vivo V30 comes with 8GB / 12GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB / 256GB UFS 2.2 storage whereas the V30 Pro comes with 8GB LPDDR5X RAM with 256GB UFS 3.1 storage and 12GB LPDDR5X RAM with 512GB UFS 3.1 storage. Both the phones offer connectivity options of Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, USB Type-C, NFC, 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz). Both the phones have In-display fingerprint sensor.
Pricing and Availability
- vivo V30 Pro will come in two color options – Andaman Blue and Classic Black and will be priced at INR 41,999 for the 8 GB + 256 GB variant and INR 46,999 for the 12 GB+ 512 GB.
- vivo V30 will be available in three color options – Andaman Blue, Peacock Green (with color-changing), and Classic Black. The smartphone will be available in three storage variants priced at INR 33,999 for the 8 GB+ 128 GB variant, INR 35,999/- for the 8 GB+ 256 GB, and INR 37,999 for the 12 GB + 256 GB variant.
