Xiaomi has launched the Xiaomi 14 Ultra and Xiaomi 14 from its latest flagship Xiaomi 14 Series in India. The Xiaomi 14 Series are also Xiaomi’s first smartphone devices that are powered by the Xiaomi HyperOS out of the box.
Display
Xiaomi 14 Ultra sports a 6.73 inch Quad Curved Display (3200 x 1440 pixels) with a peak brightness of 3000 nits. The 2K 120Hz LTPO AMOLED screen comes with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. The Xiaomi 14 features a 6.36 inch (2670 x 1200 pixels) with 460ppi pixel density, peak brightness of 3,000 nits, adaptive refresh rate ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz with HDR10+ support and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection.
Processor/RAM and Storage
Both the Xiaomi 14 Ultra and Xiaomi 14 are powered by Octa Core Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 4nm processor. The 14 Ultra comes with 16GB LPPDDR5x RAM and 512GB UFS 4.0 storage whereas the Xiaomi 14 comes with 12GB LPPDDR5x RAM and 512GB UFS 4.0 storage.
Battery
Xiaomi 14 Ultra is packed with 5000mAh battery, coupled with a 90W HyperCharge for rapid wired charging and 80W wireless HyperCharge. The Xiaomi 14 comes with 4610mAh battery, supported by a 90W HyperCharge for fast wired charging and a 50W wireless HyperCharge.
Camera
The 14 Ultra is armed with 50MP quad-camera setup comprising of 50MP rear camera with ƒ/1.63-ƒ/4.0 aperture, Hyper OIS, LED flash, Leica Summilux lens supported by 50MP 122° Leica ultra-wide angle lens, 50MP 3.2X 10cm Leica telephoto camera and 50MP 5X 30cm Leica periscope telephoto camera with feature of 8K video recording. For selfies, it has 32MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture. On the other hand, the Xiaomi 14 is equipped with triple rear camera set-up comprising of 50MP camera with Light Fusion 900 sensor, f/1.6 aperture, Hyper OIS, LED flash, Leica Summilux lens which is supported by 50MP 115° Leica ultra-wide angle lens and 50MP Leica telephoto camera. This phone also has 32MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture.
OS, Security and Connectivity
Both the phones have In-display fingerprint sensor and Infrared sensor. These phones offer connectivity options of Bluetooth 5.4, Beidou, Galileo, GLONASS, GPS (L1 + L5), NavIC, USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 1, NFC, 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE and Wi-Fi 7 802.11 be. Both the phones run Android 14-based HyperOS out of the box and will get 4 Android OS upgrades and 5 years of security patches.
Design and Color
The Xiaomi 14 Ultra has unibody metal structure and the nano-tech Vegan Leather adds a premium feel and improves wear resistance by 6 times. The Xiaomi 14 Ultra comes in two colors – Black and White. Xiaomi Shield Glass provides 10 times higher drop protection while IP68 rating ensures protection against dust and water.
The Xiaomi 14 comes in Jade Green, Matte Black and Classic White colours. The phone has a frosted glass back.
Price and Availability
- Xiaomi 14 Ultra will be available in the 16GB + 512GB variant for INR 99,999. The sale will begin at 12 noon April 12, 2024.
- Prospective buyers can book the Reserve Edition, available in a limited number of quantities starting 12 noon on March 11, 2024, for INR 9,999 as the early reserve amount. The Reserve Edition will have limited edition case, 67mm filter adapter and many more surprises. Early access sale commences 12 noon, April 08 onwards exclusively at Mi.com and across Mi Homes.
