WeChat, the popular messaging application has announced its latest 6.0 version for the Android & iOS. With this update, WeChat has introduced the Sight feature for capturing the video. This feature allows users to shoot a quick 6-second video clip and share instantaneously with their friends through Moments or chats.
In order to use this feature on WeChat, users are required to pull down the screen on their main WeChat chats tab to view the Sight screen. Press and hold the video icon to record and release to send. After creating the video, users have to select the recipient of the clip, or users also have the option to post it on to Moments.
Sight videos are seemlessly integrated into the social communications experience and will automatically play while connected on 3G or WiFi.
Additionally, the new update has also introduced an improved design, and is now iOS 8 compatible. WeChat 6.0 gives users several visual enhancements, including a new easy to access sticker button in chats for Android, and a new tab bar for iOS.
