Windows Phone 8 Apollo On It’s Way For Nokia Lumia Devices

A while back Microsoft – Nokia announced that they’ll be pushing out an update to it’s Lumia series of smartphone’s taking the installed software to Windows Phone 8 Apollo from earlier WP 7.

Windows Phone 8 Apollo includes an improved home-screen with resizeable tiles for 1st party and 3rd party applications (if supported). CNET had a quick hands on experience with Windows Phone 8 running on Nokia Lumia 900. You can check out from the video below:

As such no official date for release of Windows Phone 8 Apollo update has been declared however, seeing the dwindling demand of Nokia’s Windows based devices, I expect them to push out this update as soon as possible. Though considering Nokia’s history of releasing updates, thinking so is expecting a lot!
