Xiaomi of China has launched yet another budget smartphone in India- Redmi 5 with full view display which comes in three variants – 2GB + 16GB, 3GB + 32GB and 4GB + 64GB. This is Dual SIM phone and internal storage of all the variants can be extended upto 128GB via microSD card.
On the specifications front, this phone boasts of 5.7 inch (1440 × 720 pixels) HD+ Full screen display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. It is powered by Snapdragon 450 Octa-core processor, with 14nm FINFET Technology and 3300mAh battery. For photography, this phone is mounted with 12MP rear camera with large 1.25um pixels, LED Flash, f/2.2 aperture, and 5MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture and LED Selfie-light for brighter selfies.
This phone incorporates Fingerprint sensor on the back and also has Infrared sensor. It offers connectivity options of 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS. This phone comes in premium metal body and has a thickness of 7.7mm.
Redmi 5 will be available in Gold, Black, Rose Gold and Lake Blue colors via a weekly sale starting 20th March across Mi.com, Amazon and Mi Home stores for 7,999 INR, 8,999 INR and 10,999 INR for the 2GB + 16GB, 3GB + 32GB and 4GB + 64GB variants respectively. Redmi 5 will also be made available across all offline partners in the coming weeks.
