Xiaomi has launched today Mi A3 smartphone in India which is successor to Mi A2 launched last year. The Mi A3 comes in three colors of Kind of Grey, Not just Blue and More than White and is priced Rs. 12999 for the 4GB RAM and 128GB ROM variant and Rs. 15,999 for the 6GB RAM/128GB ROM variant. It will go on sale starting 12 PM on 23rd August via Mi.com, Amazon and Mi Home stores. It will also go on sale across all offline stores soon.
On the specifications front, the Mi A3 sports a 6.08 inch (1560 x 720 pixels) HD+ SUPER AMOLED display with an aspect ratio of 19:5:9 having triple Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection of front, rear and camera module. It is powered by Octa Core Snapdragon 665 processor with Adreno 610 GPU. This phone comes with 4GB LPDDR4x RAM with 128GB of internal storage and alternatively with 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage which can be extended up to 256GB with microSD card. This phone is packed with 4030mAh battery with 18W Quick Charge fast charging but comes with a 10W charger in the box. This phone supports Dual SIM (Hybrid).
On the imaging front, this phone is armed wtih 48MP rear camera with Sony IMX586 sensor, f/1.79 aperture, LED flash, EIS, secondary camera of 8MP with ultra wide 118 degree angle and 2MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. For selfie, it is equipped with 32MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture.
For security, this phone has 7th generation In-screen fingerprint scanner which is claimed to bring 15% increase in the fingerprint detection area and 30% more accuracy over the previous generation. This phone also has Facial unlock feature. For connectivity, this phone offers options of Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac dual-band, USB Type-C, Bluetooth 5, GPS, GLONASS, 3.5mm audio jack and infrared sensor.
This phone is based on Google’s Android One project and runs Android 9 Pie out of the box with features of Google Assistant, Google Lens, Digital Wellbeing and Adaptive Battery. It comes with two years of guaranteed security updates from Google, and two guaranteed Android OS upgrades.
This phone has glass sandwich design with an ergonomic form factor and can be used with ease with single hand. It has nano-level holographic pattern which creates a dynamic design effect. It also features P2i nano-coating to provide protection against accidental spills.
