The Redmi 2 supports 4G LTE. It is Xiaomi’s first phone to use a 64-bit processor, and also the first to support 4G Dual-SIM. The other hardware specs of this phone are listed below:

  • Quad-core 64-bit Snapdragon 410 processor
  • 1GB RAM, 8GB Flash (expandable to 32GB)
  • 4G Dual SIM, Dual Standby
  • 4.7-inch 1280 x 720 HD screen (312 PPI)
  • 8MP BSI f/2.2 rear camera / 2MP BSI front camera with 720p video recording
  • 2200mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 1.0

With the flooding of 4G enabled smartphones in budget segment by other Chinese and Indian companies, it is cut throat competition to move the boxes. This is the reason that Mi India has reduced the price of its highly successful device by Rs. 1,000. It will not be surprising if they reduce the price further in the coming days if the sale of this device does not pick-up at dropped price.

It is good news for prospective buyers to take advantage of these reduction of prices and buy their desired devices.
