Zen Launches 5-Inch, Ultrafone 701HD Smartphone With Quad-Core Processor Just For Rs 11,999

Indian handet maker ZEN Mobile, has joined the league of other domestic companies like Micromax,Karbonn, to launch 5 inch smartphone with convincing features and keeping the price low to target mid-segment smartphone market.  Zen  has launched Zen Ultrafone 701 HD, a 5-inch budget Android smartphone that is powered by a quad-core processor jsut for Rs. 11,999.

The Zen Ultrafone 701 HD is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6589 processor that clocks at 1.2GHz,and has 1GB of RAM. The dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) phone  features a 5-inch display that has a resolution of 720×1280 pixels.It comes with 4GB of internal space, which is expandable up to 32GB via the microSD card slot. It sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, and a 3.2-megapixel front facing shooter. It has a 2,000mAh battery and supports 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. The smartphone runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean anD comes pre-loaded with some  apps including Facebook, Twitter and WhatsApp.

Pre-orders for the Ultrafone 701 HD have started on e-commerce site Snapdeal.com. One can book it for as little as Rs 101, and the device is expected to be available in the first week of May. It also offers exclusive pre-booking freebies such as a flip cover, a back panel and a screen guard, all worth Rs 2000.

The Zen Ultrafone 701 HD will compete with Micromax’s Canvas A 116 HD smartphone, which has almost similar features. The Ultrafone 710 HD has price advantage as this device is priced at Rs. 11,999 compared to Convas 116 HD, which is priced at Rs. 14,999. But of late, Micromax has been promoting its product quite aggressively and has the advantage of its brand-equity in entry-level and budjet segment.
