At an event in China, ZTE has launched its premium smartphone ZTE Axon 7 in two versions – standard and premium. Both versions wiill be available in two colours: Ion Gold and Quartz Gray. The standard version of ZTE Axon comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage wheres the premium version has mammoth 6GB RAM and 128 GB of internal memory. Both versions of Axon 7 will be available in two colours: Ion Gold and Quartz Gray. In China, the Axon 7 is priced at 2,899 yuan for the 4GB RAM with 64GB storage version, 3,299 yuan for the 4GB RAM with 128GB storage version and the 6GB RAM with 128GB storage variant is priced at 4099 yuan. Their is no word about India pricing yet.
The ZTE Axon 7 flaunts a a 5.5-inch HD Amoled display with a resolution of 1440×2560 pixels. The ZTE Axon 7 is packed with a 1.6GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor. The internal memory of this phone can be further extended upto 128GB via microSD card.
The ZTE Axon 7 is packed with a 20-megapixel rear camera with PDAF, closed-loop instant autofocus, OIS (optical image stabilization) and
F1.8 aperture. The front camera of 8 MP has FF Aperture F2.2 and smart facial beautification mode.
Both the versions of ZTE Axon come with Dolby Atmos Surround Sound. The AXON 7 incorporates dual-speaker, Hi-Fi quality sound coming from two dedicated audio chips AK4961 and AK4490 from AKM. It also boasts of Fingerprint 3.0 recognition and support for 4G LTE and NFC. The premium version also boasts of Force Touch feature. It also offers other standard connectivity options of Wi-Fi, Bluetooth etc.
The ZTE Axon 7 runs on Android Marshmallow OS 6.0.1 with ZTE’s own MiFavor4.0 on top. This phone gets its juice from 3250mAh with quick charge 3.0. This phone has USB Type-C charger and supports Dual SIM.
This phone will first be launched in China, with international launches including the United States, Europe, and other regions to follow shortly after.
ZTE also unveiled a new VR device, ZTE VR. The VR device will complement AXON 7’s 2k WQHD AMOLED display, Hi-Fi / Dolby Atmos surround sound, and dual built-in speakers. In addition, ZTE is also among the first companies to support Daydream, Google’s platform for high performance mobile VR with Axon 7.
