What Arvind Kejriwal, CM of Delhi could not do despite his large promises, Airtel in collaboration with Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon has done and launched today free public wi-fi hotspots in select areas of Gurgaon. This initiative of Airtel was launched today by Shri Manohar Lal Khattar, the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Haryana.
The free Wi-Fi will be available at MG Road, Sadar Bazaar, Sector 29 market and Sarhaul Village in Gurgaon. The Wi-Fi is open to all users, who have a Wi-Fi compatible device. When in proximity to the Wi-Fi, a user has to just enable Wi-Fi in his/her device settings and search for ‘MSG powered by Airtel’.
But the catch is that the users can enjoy a free daily quota limit of 30 minutes per day per device. If you consume 30 minutes free session then post 30 minutes, you will be charged a nominal amount. While Airtel users will be charged on their data plan/packs, non-Airtel users will be able to buy online vouchers with affordable deals. Airtel customers can connect to the Wi-Fi using the Airtel Hangout app also.
