Brand Boult which is a homegrown, high-end consumer electronic brand has made niche for itself in audio products and smartwatches. Its smartwatches come with plethora of features and are priced lightly to suit pockets of those who do not wish to spend much on high-end watches because of their high prices. Even in budget segment, there are numerous smartwatches available but Boult has established its name courtesy its very attractive price point and features enriched watches. I have the opportunity to use Boult Sterling smartwatch for few days and sharing my observations with you about its features and performance.
On the design front, Boult Sterling is has dual-toned polycarbonate frame which has premium zinc alloy ring which makes it quite elegant to wear. Being light-weight, is very comfortable to wear on your wrist. It is so light that you wont feel like that you are wearing on your wrist.
Not only it is light weight, it comes with beautiful HD display of 1.52 inches with pixels resolution of 360×360 with 700 nits high brightness which makes it vibrant and you can see all the information on it in bright colors. This watch has two action buttons on the right side to do actions as per your requirements.
This watch can be connected seamlessly via Bluetooth with Android and iPhone as it supports 5.3 which has range of 10 meters. When connected with phone, you can make call as it has a dedicated speaker and mic. This watch allows you to answer or reject calls. On this watch, you can also access recent contacts, dial from your keypad and sync your contacts with one click, play music etc. Beside this, you can get notifications on the watch and also set reminders. This watch also supports Voice assistance.
The Sterling also provide lot of health features. It has SpO2 Blood Oxygen Saturation Monitor, 24×7 heart rate
monitor, female menstrual cycle tracking, sleep monitor and these features can be actioned with the help of Boult Fit app, which you can download from Google Play Store or Apple Store. On the watch itself, you can see the number of stepts taken, distance covered and calories burnt and set drink water reminder and sedentary reminder. I have not tested all the features but some of the features tested by me such as steps taken, distance covered and calories burnt were correct. Hopefully, other features will also work as claimed by the brand.
When connected with Bluetooth, the watch also displays the current weather status as well as the forecast for the next six days. This watch comes with 150+ Cloud-based Watch Faces with Custom Watch Face, Animated Watch Faces and 4 UI Styles to choose as per your taste. It also comes with 100+ Sports Modes.
To take care of outdoor activities, this watch is IP67 Water Resistant and is dust proof. It provides protection against ingress of dust and airborne particles and I can vouch for this as I have worne it for few days during my early morning walks and it has worked perfectly alright.
