Google Nexus LG Expected To Be Unveiled By End Of October

As per unconfirmed reports, Google has shown keen interest in LG after its launches of highly successful Optimus range of smartphones. Google has been considering various options available to them for choosing the right partner for its next Nexus smartphone. Google had considered Samsung, HTC, Sony and LG for its Nexus smartphone.

The last two Nexus phones, the Galaxy Nexus and the Nexus S, were developed by Samsung while the original Nexus, the Nexus One, was made by HTC. This time Google want to shake hand with LG for two obvious reasons:

  • LG’s very impressive latest Optimus G smartphone
  • To give variety to new Nexus smartphone by choosing different maker.

If this speculation turns out to be true, this will be the first Nexus phone by LG. Nexus is the brand Google uses for its Android products, including the Nexus 7  tablet made  by Asus and the Galaxy Nexus smartphone by Samsung. Google is very much impressed with design of Optimus G and the LG Nexus phone is expected to be almost similar to this, according to various reports.

The LG Nexus, whose name is still unknown, will feature a 1280 by 768 pixel HD display, an 8 MP camera and include wireless battery charging, according to a  tech site. The phone will run on a quad-core Snapdragon S processor and be available in 8 GB and 16 GB versions with no microSD card slot. The phone is also expected to debut the next version of Google’s operating system, Android 4.2.

It is expected that new Nexus smartphone is expected to be announced by the end of this month or beginning of November. However, nobody has speculated the price of this future device so far and in the coming days, rumor mills will churn out expected prices also.
