HTC of Taiwan has launched today two new smartphones in their Desire series known as HTC Desire 12 and HTC Desire 12+. The HTC Desire 12 and HTC Desire 12+ comes in Cool Black and Warm Silver colors and are priced INR 15800/- and INR 19790/- respectively. Pre-order of these phones starts on 7th June 2018 exclusively on HTC India E-Store. Both the products will be available in retail from June 11, 2018 onwards.
On the specifications front, the HTC Desire 12 features 5.5 inch,HD+(720×1440) IPS LCD Fullview display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. It is powered by MediaTek MT6739, quad-core, 64-bit chipset mated with 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage which can be extended upto 2TB via microSD card. This phone is packed with 2730mAh battery and runs on Android Oreo with HTC Sense.
For imaging this phone is equipped with 13MP rear camera with Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF), f/2.2 aperture, LED flash with various modes such as HDR and Panorama etc. For selfies, this phone has 5MP front camera with f/2.4 aperture.
This is Dual SIM phone and comes with Ambient light, Proximity, Motion G and Magnetic sensor. This phone does not have fingerprint sensor.
The Desire 12+ sports a 6 inch HD+(720×1440) IPS LCD fullview display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. This phone is powered by Snapdragon 450, octa-core, 64-bit processor combined with 3GB RAM / 32GB storage extendable upto 2TB via microSD card. This is Dual SIM supporting phone and gets its juice from 2965mAh battery. It runs on Android Oreo 8.0 with HTC Sense on the top.
For photography, this phone is mounted with 13MP + 2MP dual rear cameras with Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF), f/2.2 aperture, LED flash and comes with various modes such as Bokeh mode, Face detection and Panorama mode.
This phone has fingerprint sensor on the back and also comes with other sensors such as Ambient light, Proximity, Motion G and Compass.
Both the phones offer connectivity options of 4G VoLTE, 3.5mm headphone jack, Micro-USB 2.0, Bluetooth 4.2 and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4 & 5GHz).
In the brand name of Desire, HTC has launched two smartphones namely Desire 12 and 12+ and they have a reasonable price segment. Both seems to be great in terms of design and specification.
